Browsing photos, feedback and vids from some of the awesomest, littlest food entities around the country that have been early joins of Passmebuy’s map, has made me hungry as!!! And dreaming of a roadie or 5...

Yum AF Donuts - Invercargill

“Delicious gourmet donuts and ice-cream with our secret sauces” 

Melissa talks on her Facebook Page about “Donuts of the Week” and she gets me every time. A couple of recent examples - “Black Doris plum and custard topped with whipped cream and chocolate” or “Mango with white chocolate ice-cream slathered on top” 

It’s quiet season right now for the colder treats so Cake Pops are something else Melissa has up her sleeve, and she can always be booked for local functions & events.

Wetherston Creek Social - Lawrence

“Your local for gourmet burgers and craft beers located in Lawrence, Otago, NZ. Creators of Good Times”

Adam runs a fun, food-truck based venue, that is at the Goldpark Campgrounds in historic gold-mining town Lawrence. A great wee town for a slice of history and nature exploration with sights/sites and bike/walking tracks galore in South Otago. Bingo & quiz nights are regular features over a bite of yummyness like Skin-on Makihihi Fries, a Mango Chicken Burger or Southern Pulled Pork Burger, sided with some Chicken Wings or Duck fat Potato Skins, and washed down with a thoughtfully handpicked array of local craft beverages.

The Coffee Bomb - Garston

New Zealand’s most inland food truck serving the finest coffee, an array of freshly made burgers, slices and cakes. Located in Garston, a town on the Southern end of Lake Wakatipu - 45 mins from Queenstown

Open 7 days a week from 7am-4pm, this epic spot was highlighted by Sunday Star Times last Summer as having ‘the best coffee you’ll get on the road this Summer’! But the locally sourced paddock-to-plate menu with bacon & egg muffins, venison, beef & lamb burgers - and even the odd spot of Whitebait, looks incredibly mouth-watering, so for the coffee to be the shout out really says something. This spot has recently changed hands with the original owners remaining involved via the produce they have always supplied ‘The Bomb’. Will & Aroha would be pleased to see you, and I hope they’ll see me one day soon, too!

The Milford Road Merchant - Te Anau

A general store en-route to Milford Sound. Coffee, eats, art & local artisans.

The last wee stop before you commit to the road to Milford Sound from Te Anau as I understand it! Recommended by a close friend who visits Te Anau often, as having FABULOUS coffee, and wonderful local eats - a definite stop if you’re lucky enough to be heading to Milford Sound, for some tasty sustenance and a browse and buy of owner Jen’s curated collection of locally crafted crafts and products.
